    Raised in a family of preachers and poets, Hoda's style is as diverse and unique as her history.

    
    

    A bitch’s brew of Iranian-British singer, songwriter and guitarist, Hoda has her debut EP “Arrivals” tucked in her back pocket whilst pouring the alt-rock world the first shot from her forthcoming full-length album “Miracle Inc.”  From her anthemic new single "Raging Waves" to the blues-rock autobiographical song “Arrivals”, to the defiantly energetic “Whole” embracing the paradox of identity, Hoda’s songs are universal breakers brimming with lyrical imagery- real and mythical- they swell from a personal depth to re-position history and politics once again within human experience.   

    
    

    In the throes of the Iranian revolution of 1979, Hoda and her family fled the country just before the government shut its airports.   They lived in exile, in Paris at first, where a young Hoda would put on records and monster headphones to silence the constant boom of political banter in her home.  Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Ricki Lee Jones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, The Doors, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith, The Clash- these were some of the artists that showed the young political immigrant how music transcends borders. 

    
    

    A warrior, a rocker and a woman of heart, Hoda has charted a unique course through the tides of her cultural and religious background to get here, and it looks like she’s going to stay. 

    
    

    Hoda has performed across Europe and Britain including London’s legendary 100 Club, Kunsthalle, Ottakringer Soho Festival, Vienna Music Festival, Reigen and Ost Klub with guest appearances on BBC television and radio. 

    
    

    “Miracle Inc.” is due out in 2013.
